SETUP

Follow these steps in order.

  1. Allow Accessibility

    In Yapper Settings, choose Open Settings. Enable Yapper in macOS Accessibility, then return and choose Check Again.

  2. Choose your provider

    Choose ElevenLabs under Choose your provider.

  3. Add your ElevenLabs API key

    Create a restricted key with Text to Speech permission, optionally set a credit limit, and copy it. Return to Yapper and paste it into API key.

  4. Choose your narrator

    Open ElevenLabs Voices, choose a voice, and copy its Voice ID into Yapper. Then choose Delivery and Stability.

  5. Set playback

    Playback speed changes how fast Yapper plays audio on your Mac. Delivery changes how ElevenLabs performs the text.

  6. Choose a keyboard shortcut

    Choose the shortcut button, then press the key combination you want to use in any app.

  7. Save and finish

    Choose Save and Finish. Select a short sentence and press your shortcut. This small test counts toward your ElevenLabs usage.
